It is impossible to make a completely comprehensive list of all the things that can be helped with hypnotherapy. In fact, there are few things that cannot be improved, at least to some degree, by the use of these tools.

SMOKING CESSATION

Hypnosis and the Neural Linguistic Programming (NLP) work hand in hand to reduce or eliminate cravings. This powerful combination of techniques has helped many people become non-smokers. However, the most important element in successfully quitting smoking (or chewing tobacco) is the determination and readiness of the individual. You need to be clear that you want to stop for yourself, not for your doctor, your partner or anyone else. There needs to be a commitment to using the tools you will be learning to make this important health and lifestyle change.

FREEDOM FROM INSOMNIA

Insomnia is a battle that many people fight every night. Hypnotherapy is a very powerful tool which often lets people begin to sleep peacefully after one or two sessions.

The process is simple and involves teaching you how to relax physically and mentally and how to create an emotional state of safety on all levels of the mind. Once you have reached this state, sleep will take over naturally. Even people with long-term sleep problems have successfully learned and applied these techniques.

During our first session, I will make a hypnosis cd that addresses your personal needs. You may listen to it every night when you go to bed. The cd will be working for you as it re-educates your subconscious mind and you learn to do this process on your own. If you are someone who has had problems with waking up during the night and not getting back to sleep, you will use the cd during the night, if any waking recurs. After several weeks of using the cd, you will have learned how to use self-hypnosis on your own to get to sleep and stay asleep.

FREEDOM FROM FEARS

Fear can be a useful response to dangerous situations, or a debilitating reaction that limits our ability to participate fully in our lives. If you experience fears, anxieties or panic attacks that are general in nature or limited to specific situations, you may find that hypnosis and NLP offer you relief in just a few sessions.

The sorts of fears that make us prisoners in our own lives are usually due to the workings of our creative subconscious minds. Hypnotherapy allows us to reeducate the subconscious mind and reduce or eliminate the old fearful response

ELIMINATING UNWANTED HABITS

Our subconscious mind is like our automatic pilot. Once it is programmed, it continues to do the same thing the same way for the rest of our lives. In general, this is a positive and useful system. It saves us time and thought in the many repetitive activities we do, day in and day out. Showering, dressing, driving, and so many other tasks can be done quickly and smoothly thanks to our "automatic pilot".

However, when wishing to change a habit, many people get stuck, because the habitual subconscious mind doesn't respond to their usual approaches to self-improvement. There are times when even a tremendous amount of willpower and a highly logical approach just don't work.

This is the time to consider hypnotherapy. The subconscious mind receives information best through this relaxed and creative approach. This is why hypnosis is sometimes called "trying easy".
